Pair Torchère | Oscar Bach | 1922
Oscar B. Bach signed torchère pair in the Henry Tudor style with Cymru/Wales dragon incorporated into the arabesque design of the lanterns.
The finials are in the image of a Tudor galleon. The tops hinge open for access to the light bulbs. The lanterns are lined with amber toned mica inserts.
The sugar barley twist poles surmount triform bases supported by paw feet.
The lights turn on by pull-chain.
The floor lamps were a 1922 release design and hand-wrought in lead and bronze in Oscar Bach's New York studio.

Table Lamp | Greek Revival | "Lucite" | 1950s-1980s
Neoclassic style table lamp in the form of a fluted column pedestal on gilt acanthus scroll feet surmounted by a lebes urn fronted with a gilt pair of sphinx on either side of a lyre.
The base material is clear acrylic thermoplastic resin, known by the trade name Lucite.
The brass spacers and hardware are brass.
The light turns on via a 3-way rotary lamp switch.

Pair Table Lamps | French Empire Candelabra Style | 1920s
Pair tall metal table lamps in the French Empire candelabra style date to 1920-1926, a period of revival in this style of lighting.
The patinaed brass candelabra form features Neoclassical elements such as scalloped bobeche supported by fluted scrolls collared by bosses; acanthus fluted Ionic columns supported by laurel wreath surmounted plinths; and lion paw and claw feet.
Each lamp has a scalloped and trimmed hand constructed creamy white silk shade.
The lighting is activated by three-way black rotary knob switches. The first rotation turns on just the candle flame bulbs; the second rotation turns on just the central light bulbs; the third rotations turns on all the lights; and the fourth rotation turns the lamps off.
